MVP Tournaments : APA 8-Ball & 9-Ball
The top 10 players in each standard division, from each skill level, that played a minimum of 6 matches in the previous session are eligible for the MVP Tournament. Using regular session data, qualified players are determined using the following equation to determine their “PA” (Points Available):
“Number of Points Earned” divided by “Number of Points Available” equal “PA (Points Available) percentage”.
8-Ball Example:
In an individual 8-Ball match, a player has 3 points available to win. If he/she played
10 matches, they had 30 points available to win. If they won a total of 13 points, then their PA is 43%.
10 matches = 30 points available
13 points = 13 / 30 = 0.43 = 43%
9-Ball Example:
In an individual 9-Ball match, a player has 20 points available to win. If he/she
played 10 matches, they had 200 points available to win. If they won a total of 162 points, then their
PA is 81%.
10 matches = 200 points available
162 points = 162 / 200 = 0.81 = 81%
*THERE ARE TWO LISTS: OVERALL and BY DIVISION
Winners of the OVERALL league in your skill level for the session receives a winners
plaque and free entry into the tournament, and sign up for the MVP Tournament is
available on THURSDAY at 8am, the morning prior to the Tournament weekend.
Any players who made the OVERALL list are also eligible to sign upon THURSDAY.
MVP Winners of DIVISIONS will receive a patch and the opportunity to sign up for the
MVP tournament on THURSDAY at 8am prior to the tournament weekend.
ALL players who made the BY DIVISION lists are eligible to sign up at 8am on FRIDAY.
Qualified player lists are posted a week post session ending.
Please pay attention to the sign up requirements or risk being removed from the registration list and tournament!
REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON Thursday, January 21st @ 8am for overall winners and division winners.
REGISTRATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON FRIDAY, January 22nd @ 8am for top 20 in each division.
